AB De Villiers is a well-known cricketer for his magnificent performances. The man has less weaknesses in batting and for a bowler, it’s always been tough to take his wicket once he settles up on the crease. He moves here-and-there on the pitch and plays tricky strokes towards all around the ground.
As he is a tremendous batsman, he finally managed to break the world record of fastest fifty and fastest century. He struck a magnificent century off just 31 deliveries, breaking the record of Corey Anderson who made a fastest century on 36 balls.
It became a nightmare for West Indies bowlers when De Villiers came on to the crease and began to smash the ball for back-to-back boundaries. He played his authentic and maximum-power strokes in almost every direction of the ground. In fact, Jason Holder, as a captain of West Indies team, couldn’t bowl a specific delivery to put a full-stop for De Villiers, even thoug, he himself was beaten brutally. De Villiers hit 16 sixes and 9 fours in total and finally, his wicket was taken by Russel. He scored 149 off 44 balls. Imagine the thrill of the strokes he played!
It was a 2nd ODI match against West Indies, in which Amla, De Villiers and Rossouw performed authentically and put a target of 439 in 50 overs for West Indies with the required run rate of 8.78.
All three of South African players appeared with a terrific mood. But De Villiers played a mind-blowing innings and ended up with a world record.
